Trace

Trace never touches your OnlyFans login

You mark files in Trace. You upload them yourself. Trace never logs in, posts, messages or collects data inside OnlyFans.

The short version

  • Trace never asks for your OnlyFans or Fansly password, session cookie or two-factor codes.
  • Trace never acts inside OnlyFans or Fansly for you. No logging in, clicking, posting or messaging on your behalf.
  • Trace never reads your fan list, purchases or messages from OnlyFans, Fansly or any other platform. You add fans yourself, by typing names or importing a CSV you export.
  • You mark a file in Trace, download the marked copy, and upload it to the platform yourself, the same way you upload anything else.

How “mark, then upload” works

  1. Add your fans in Trace. Type a username, paste a list, or import a CSV you exported. It is a label you choose, so it can be a nickname or a number.
  2. Upload your original to Trace. Video, photo or voice note.
  3. Download a marked copy for each fan, or a few versions for a mass message, one per fan list.
  4. Send it on the platform yourself. PPV, DM, vault or mass message. Trace isn’t involved in that step.
  5. If a copy leaks, upload it to Trace or paste the link. Trace tells you which copy it matches, or says the result is inconclusive.

The mark is in the file before it reaches the platform. That is why Trace never needs to be inside your account.

Why we built it this way

Your login is your income. A password or session cookie gives whoever holds it full access to your account: your content, your fans, your payouts. We don’t want that access, and we don’t need it.

Platforms restrict automated tools. OnlyFans has updated its Terms of Service, with the changes reported to take effect in November 2026. A published summary of the update says the new terms bar “manual or automatic tools designed to collect data or information from Content or Direct Services”. We could not check that wording on OnlyFans’ own site: on 25 Oct 2026 the terms at onlyfans.com/terms still showed “Last updated: August 2024”. Read the updated terms yourself when OnlyFans shows them to you.

Whatever the final wording, a tool that logs into your account, clicks around in it or copies data out of it is the kind of thing these rules are aimed at, and your account carries the risk. Trace sidesteps the question by never going there. It works on files, before you upload them and after they leak.

It works everywhere. Because Trace only touches files, the same marked copy works on OnlyFans, Fansly, Fanvue, a DM or a Drive link.

Fansly and other platforms

An earlier test build of the Trace browser extension had an optional Fansly import that copied usernames from a Fansly page you had open. We removed it in extension 1.3.0, along with the permissions it needed.

  • The extension asks for no access to OnlyFans, Fansly or any other creator platform.
  • It doesn’t read, click, post or send anything on those sites.
  • To add fans, type their names, or paste or upload a CSV you exported yourself.

Fanvue, later and opt-in. Fanvue offers an official API that you approve on Fanvue’s own sign-in page, without giving us your password. We have built an optional connection on it that would let you import your Fanvue subscribers and send each fan their marked copy through Fanvue. It is not live yet. When it is, it will be off unless you choose to connect, and you can disconnect at any time.

What Trace does keep

The fan labels you enter, your originals and marked copies while you need them, the leaks you upload, and the results of each check. That is all Trace needs to tell you whose copy leaked. See the privacy policy for how long we keep it.

CreatorSense also makes separate analytics tools. Some can sync figures from platforms through a browser extension you install and control. They are not part of Trace, Trace doesn’t use them, and you don’t need them to use Trace.

FAQ

Does Trace need my OnlyFans login?

No. Trace never asks for your OnlyFans or Fansly password, session cookie or two-factor codes, and never logs in to your account. You mark files in Trace and upload them to the platform yourself.

Can Trace import my fans from OnlyFans?

No. Trace does not read anything from OnlyFans. You add fans to Trace yourself, by typing their username, pasting a list or importing a CSV you exported. A fan in Trace is just a label you choose.

Is using Trace against the OnlyFans terms?

We can’t give legal advice, and you should read the terms yourself. What we can say is how Trace works: it never connects to OnlyFans, never collects data from it and never acts in your account. The files you upload are files you prepared before uploading, like any edited video or photo.

Will my fans see the watermark?

Not the per-fan mark. It is invisible. You can add an optional visible corner badge as well, if you want fans to know their copy is marked.

Does this apply to Fansly and other platforms too?

Yes. Trace never asks for a Fansly password, never reads fan lists from Fansly or any other platform, and never posts or messages for you anywhere. The one planned exception is an opt-in Fanvue connection through Fanvue’s official API, which is not live yet and is described on this page.
